Need reservation. 2 ppl+.
Really nice beef set. Need reservation.
Reservations are a must. A true one of a kind meat experience. Not too much meat just enough. Well prepared. Highest grade of meat you can find in Kyoto and well priced for the amount and quality.
MoreWow. What a surprise! Perfect diner. We went there in the evening (September 2018). Japanese Chef spoke English because had lived in the US.Food was exquisite but on the upper side of the budget. We got to taste red wine from the Nagano region, and were bluffed by the quality. (We travel a lot in the wine regions of France)English menu available.Probably sits 20 people.Meat, fish and sushi.Would go back any time. Highly recommended.
MoreWe had a fantastic dinner at Isshin. The food was divine. Particular highlights were the raw beef noodles, the slow cooked ox tail, and the beef filet with soy sauce foam. The menu was 11 courses (13000 yen), all based around beef (except the dessert course), particularly the shoulder. The venue is intimate, we were seated at the counter. The two owners do all the cooking and service and both did an exceptional job. Although we don't speak any Japanese and there is no English menu, this was not an issue and they were very accommodating. The meal was good value given the prestige and quality of the food. I think this restaurant would be enjoyed by all who enjoy fine dining in an intimate setting
MoreFull on Beef course it was beyond delicious - dishes are very well balanced in terms of taste and very interesting.Girl serving us is very nice and gentle. Very pleasant. Two of our guests could not make the dinner as flights were cancelled due to typhoon, but we still had to pay 25%of the meal for them; which we thought it’s a little bit unreasonable.
MoreTop top top experience !! If in Kyoto - a must eat. The chef is sooo nice and down to earth. The atmosphere is cozy. The price is EXTREMELY good for what you get. The food is out of this world. It was just perfect. We went there because we read the reviews. We didn’t know that the restaurant is in fact a 2 MICHELIN star restaurant & worth every one of them. You need to pay cash so anticipate for that. A 6 course menu - japanese fusion that makes it a point to have all kinds of meats in every one of his dishes. It was simply delicious. Come with an empty stomach because every bite counts and all this for 130usd per person.
